Degrees held 1985: Master in theoretical linguistics. University of Reading. 1979: PhD (Doctor in de Letteren en Wijsbegeerte), Ghent University. 1973: “Licentiate” (= Master’s Degree) for Dutch and English, Ghent University. Other courses attended I have attended several summer courses (or similar) to broaden my knowledge of specific topics. There are two of those that I like to mention because they were particularly relevant for my teaching and research: UCL’s Summer Course on phonetics; and Marie Haps’s course on Terminology.
