My area of specialisation is related to mathematical analysis, evolutionary partial differential equations and the development of numerical algorithms and their implementation. This research focus concerns both direct and inverse problems in heat transfer, fractional calculus, elasticity, electromagnetism and thermo-elasticity.
The mathematical analysis (existence and uniqueness of a solution) of the problems is mainly based on a variational approach in combination with time-discretization methods including convergence and error analysis. The numerical algorithms are checked for stability and robustness.
