Hi, I'm Sander. During the day I design algorithms and write code. At night I dance. Sometimes I go on very long walks.
Starting out with writing QBasic as a kid on a 486 in the nineties to developing machine learning algorithms in recent years. I've always had a passion for well-designed algorithms and solving problems which translated into many hobby projects fo which some are presented above. Ranging from robotics to artificial intelligence and everything in between.
When I'm not writing code, I dance Lindy Hop as well as Collegiate Shag in my home town of Ghent and at international festivals across Europe.
Spring of 2018 I left for San Diego to hike the entire Pacific Crest Trail. 4265km from the Mexican border to Canada. Since then I hiked several more long distance trails in the Alps and Pyrenees. .
As a little kid, I wanted to become a crazy inventor like Dr. Emmett Brown. Great at finding Waldo. Studied Astrophysics and love to channel my inner MacGyver, solving complex problems with simple tools. Swing out to the tunes of Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Winona forever! Thunderstorms are neat if you're inside. I live in Ghent, BE. It has medieval castles. Working on a Flux Capacitor. 1.21 Gigawatts. Great Scott! Hiking is nice. Hiking across a mountain range is nicer. Is that person confident or knowledgeable? One of the hardest skills to learn. Slow down and enjoy the little things. Black holes are fun. Proficient at solving Rubik's Cubes. Whatever you do, do it with passion. Inquisitive by nature. Trying to get every reference in Rick and Morty. I like Pi. I also like pie. Titanic is an ok movie. After watching it ten times, they still don't make it to New York. Helping Skynet become self-aware. Science is not an opinion.
