List and Glossary of medical terms: Spanish
Back to welcome
Back to language selection
After having selected your language, you can look up terms in several ways:
- The first possibility is by browsing through the alphabetical list of technical and
popular medical terms: this list contains all the technical and popular terms in an
alphabetical order, in the language you have chosen. Each word or expression in this list is
followed by its technical (boldface) or popular (italic) equivalent and is
preceded by two buttons
and
that refer to the
multilingual lemma collection and the glossary respectively. The list is divided
into several parts, in order to reduce the size of the pages and to speed up file transmission. If
you want to browse through the list, click the buttons or the letters:

- The second possibility is: browsing through the glossary. This glossary contains
all the technical terms in the selected language with their popular terms, comments and
references. The terms are ordered according to the alphabetical order of the English
terms. The list is divided into pages with 50 terms each. If you want to browse through the
glossary, click the following button. You will start at the beginning of the glossary:
Advice: You can reach a word in the glossary faster, by looking up the word in the
alphabetical list first. When you have found the word, push the glossary button. You will go
directly to the right place in the glossary.
A definition of each item is available in the English
dictionary (if you click here, you will go automatically to the beginning of the English
dictionary). If you want the definition of aword in the list, you can acces the English
dictionary by calling the multilingual lemma collection. You will subsequently
arrive at the word in this multilingual lemma collection, where a button under the English term
directs you to the English dictionary. The reason for this detour is the expectation that
dictionaries in the other languages will also be available in the future.
