Mathieu De Coster

Computer Science Engineer - PhD Student

I graduated from Ghent University as a Computer Science Engineer in 2017. I wrote my master dissertation on generating polyphonic music using deep learning. After working as a software engineer, I enrolled as a PhD student in the IDLab-AIRO research group at Ghent University. My main research topic is using deep learning to facilitate communication between deaf and hearing people.

My research is funded by an FWO-SB personal grant.

I also assist students for the the Machine Learning course project in the Computer Science Engineering track.
