We investigate the functional and neural bases of motor and cognitive control. One research line focuses on the relationship of perception and action. Furthermore, we investigate cognitive and intentional control of behaviour. Finally, we study how high-level beliefs such as the belief in free will influence intentional control of behaviour. Methodologically, we use mental chronometry, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Recently, we also started to investigate social cognition in individuals with autism spectrum condition (ASC).
