Moa’s ware enorme struisvogelachtige vogels die leefden in Nieuw-Zeeland. De soort stierf uit rond 1300. Dit model is geïnspireerd door het emoe-ontwerp van Robert Lang, maar vertrekt van boeksymmetrie (i.p.v. diagonale symmetrie), waarbij een deel van het papier gebruikt werd om tenen te vouwen.

Moas were giant flightless birds native to New Zealand. The giant moa became extinct around the year 1300. This model was inspired by Robert Lang’s emu design. However, the base is folded using book symmetry (instead of diagonal symmetry) and using the bottom part of the paper for the creation of toes.
