TYPES OF CULTURES |
| For some types of cultures totipotentiality is exploited, not for others. Indeed some cultures simply rely on the development of pre-existing structures (bud, tuber, seed, ...). Types of cultures which are a demonstration of totipotentiality are: de novo formation of buds, roots or embryos; differentiation of calli, isolated cells or protoplasts to yield organs and finally maybe complete plants. |
