Talking about and perceiving moving objects

exploring the bridge between natural language, perception and formal ontologies of space.

As part of the I nternational Conference on Spatial Cognition ( http://www.sfbtr8.uni-bremen.de/SC06/ ), to be held at the University of Bremen (Germany), 24-28 September 2006, there will be a one day International Workshop at 25 September 2006

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers from academia and industry as well as practitioners to discuss views on how to represent and reason about moving objects and how to integrate natural language and formal methods with respect to moving objects.

The targeted audience includes, but is not limited to, people working in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Geomatics, GIScience, Geography, Linguistics, Psychology, Robotics, and Spatial Reasoning.

The workshop provides a forum for original research contributions and practical experiences. The workshop will be organized in a way to stimulate interaction amongst the participants. To this aim, an important part of each regular time slot will be reserved for discussion.
