Performing reconstructive, as well as aesthetic surgery to high scientific standards is one of the Departments main concerns.  A multidisciplinary approach is used in the fields of gender reassignment surgery, the foot clinic, cleft lip and palate surgery and breast reconstruction.  The relatively new technique of perforator flaps is continuously being used, refined and investigated in our department.
