A short description of current PhD projects

From Communicide to Sensus Communis: The Constitution of Community in Contemporary Political-Philosophical Thinking.

In this research I define the outlines of the contemporary debate on community and I offer an alternative notion of community based on the kantian concept ‘sensus communis aestheticus’. I will elaborate the transcendental conditions which makes community both possible as actual. This project is primarily relying on Arendt, Rancière and Nancy.

Patients autonomy in physical therapy. A randomized control study of shared decision making in exercise therapy
Autonomy is a core value of contemporary health care and it can be defined as ‘self-determination upon your own health and/or treatment’. Within physical therapy, autonomy can embody a crucial role when active participation of the patient is required such as in exercise therapy. Apparently, if the physical therapist supports the patient’s autonomy, exercise adherence improves. Patient-centered care and shared decision making then can be supportive to patients autonomy are. The aim of this study is to measure to what degree physical therapists support patient autonomy and whether it does have a positive effect on the patient?
