INTRODUCTION
As we had rather poor flight connections on both our way to and way back from our Philippines trip, we had to spend respectively about 23 hours and 10 hours in Taipei Airport. We decided to do some minor birding just to pass time. Actually I saw several lifers although we did not prepare our stay there and even did not study the birds on beforehand… We decided to spend one morning at the Yangmienshan NP and one late afternoon at the Taipei Botanical Gardens (Malayan Night-Heron).
