1. Short biography
Glad was born on October 12, 1977. After following secondary education in the "Klein Seminarie" of Roeselare, he went to "Ghent University", where he obtained a M.Sc. in Mathematics in 1999. After that he got a "Qualified Teacher's Degree for Higher Secondary Education - Section 2 in Mathematics". In the summer of 2000 he joined the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, where he is a member of the Fuzziness and Uncertainty Modeling Research Unit. On November 9, 2004 he obtained a Ph.D. degree in Sciences: Mathematics with a thesis on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets. Currently, he is doing research on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and Interval-Valued Fuzzy Sets.
