Courses

I have been teaching a number of courses on systems theory for the past twenty years. Since the Sorbonne-Bologna reform of the Engineering programme at Ghent University, I have been responsible for the course on Linear Systems, dealing with such basic issues for linear systems as state space methods, controllability and state feedback, observability and observers, state space representations for input-output models, linear-quadratic optimal control problems, Kalman filtering and the Separation Principle.

Since 2009, I have also been teaching the basic Probability and Statistics course to first-year Bachelor of Engineering students.
